A Time to Trust

As I sat on the beach today, three things caught my attention: the crash of the waves, the heat of the sun and the gentle breeze as clouds occasionally rolled in.

The waves crashing on shore are like our trials and tribulations that sometimes come into our life, or maybe they are like those “things” from the past that have crept in (albeit not so gently at times!) - those things that we need to work through and hand over to Jesus - our healer, our physician our savior.

As I feel the intense heat from the sun,  I can’t help but think of the refiners fire and how God wants to press in and keep working on us to become more like Him! It’s intense and sometimes seems too “hot” to bear, but there is refreshment coming - that cool breeze and fluffy white clouds that are just enough to bring much needed relief.

The breeze is gentle and it’s a sweet whisper from the God who promises us He will always be there, always see us through and always overcome.

So my friends, sit a while, listen for His voice, bear the pressure from the refining and realize His desire to shape and mold each of us to be more like Him. Take a moment and breathe in, be filled with His love and rest easy, knowing God has got everything under control, in His control and is surrounding us at every turn! It’s time to TRUST Him fully! Praying for peace, Praising Him for His love and Pondering His greatness!
